Water leaking from ceiling: Place buckets to catch water, shut off your main water supply, and contact the upstairs neighbor and vaad habayit immediately. If the leak is severe, call a plumber
Balcony flooding during heavy rain: Clear the drain opening of debris, use a plunger if needed. If the drain is connected to a shared pipe, alert the vaad habayit. Use towels to prevent water from entering through the balcony door
Burst pipe behind a wall: Shut off the main water valve, turn off electricity to that area, and call an emergency plumber. Do not attempt to open the wall yourself
