Stroke

Recognise stroke signs using FAST (Face, Arm, Speech, Time), call 101 immediately, note time of symptom onset, position the person safely, and await paramedics. Apply when: Person shows one or more signs of stroke: facial drooping or asymmetry, arm weakness or inability to raise one arm, slurred speech or difficulty forming words, sudden confusion, sudden severe headache, sudden vision loss, sudden loss of balance or coordination, sudden change in consciousness. Even a single FAST sign warrants immediate emergency evaluation.
