Protect the seizing child from injury, position on their side, time the seizure, and call 101 if it is a first seizure, lasts more than 5 minutes, or the child does not recover consciousness. Apply when: Child is experiencing a seizure: rhythmic jerking or stiffening of the body, unresponsiveness, eyes rolling, loss of consciousness. For febrile seizures: seizure occurring in a child aged 6 months to 5-6 years in the context of fever or rapidly rising body temperature.
