Troubleshooting (4)
Ezra is terrified of costumes and masks: Introduce costumes gradually in the days before Purim. Let Ezra see you putting on costumes. Avoid scary masks around the baby. Keep Ezra's costume familiar and comfortable.
Overwhelmed by volume of mishloach manot to prepare and deliver: Scale back to manageable numbers. Focus on close friends, neighbors, and community obligations. Use a theme that allows batch preparation. Enlist help for delivery.
Jerusalem Shushan Purim date confusion: Most of Jerusalem observes Shushan Purim on 15 Adar. Some neighborhoods on the city periphery may observe 14 Adar or both days. Check with your local rabbi for your specific address.
Too much candy and junk food in the house after Purim: Sort mishloach manot immediately. Set aside items for the family, regift duplicates, donate excess to soldiers or community centers. Keep sweets out of Ezra's reach and ration over the following week.
