First aid for dehydration through gradual rehydration with small sips, cooling, and rest. Escalates to emergency treatment for heat stroke. Apply when: Person shows signs of dehydration: increased thirst, dry mouth, reduced or dark urine, fatigue, dizziness, headache, rapid pulse. Or signs of heat stroke: body temperature above 40 degrees C, hot dry skin (sweating has stopped), confusion, loss of consciousness.
