First aid treatment for thermal, chemical, and electrical burns in children, emphasising prolonged cooling (minimum 20 minutes), hypothermia prevention, and early emergency service activation. Apply when: When a child has sustained a burn from heat, hot liquids (scalds), chemicals, electricity, or radiation. Signs include redness, swelling, blisters, white/grey/black discolouration of skin, or pain at the injury site. Approximately 84% of pediatric burns in Israel are scalds from hot liquids.
